Today's 'verse of the day' from Spirit 105.3 was Isaiah 55:8.  "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord."  Many times when I get this verse on my phone, I look up the verse to read the text around it to put it into context.  This morning, my eyes stopped on Isaiah 55:2, "Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy?  Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food."

Just making a quick post to "reactivate" our blog.  Next week, Rob and I will begin posting our devotions here again.  We welcome your comments as the posts build up again.

Ironically - they say that if we don't make a posting today... all our blogs will be removed.

Here's to another 30 days :)

The two contributors to this blog are currently stoking the fire with their many other irons.  While this has been a source to journal their bible time and write their thoughts, those efforts are now quite redirected for the time being.  McLean is now taking seminary classes and his Bible and journal time has now turned into Bible and homework time.  Rob is now in a teaching role with his student ministry so his time is now Bible, teaching prep and mentoring students.

We are glad you have enjoyed our posts.  Please take this time to review some of the older posts and make comments.  And be sure to check back periodically as we will still make every attempt to add an article or two from time to time, just not daily.

Thank you,

McLean and Rob

That request got me thinking of the passage in Matthew 14 when the desciples saw Jesus walking on water.  Peter even cries out, "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." (v 28).  The amazing part is that when Jesus called this ordinary man of Peter out of the boat, Peter had faith that Jesus would provide. (More)
